“I’m addicted to architecture. What can I say? It’s delicious torture.”
Elie lives and breathes design. It’s in his DNA. For more than 45 years he’s been practicing at the intersection of architecture and urban design, working on projects from multiple sectors around the globe. He’s been sharing this passion with BNKC for more than three decades and has led the practice through its transformation to the firm it is today. From master plans, to exemplary learning environments, to heritage restorations and complex renovations, Elie’s breadth of experience and down to earth approach make him a valued and trusted advisor to colleagues and clients.
From the smallest renovation to master plans for communities of one-million, Elie finds joy at all scales and sectors including commercial, institutional, residential, and mixed-use. It provides him with immense satisfaction to create high quality spaces for different communities. His entire approach is emblematic of BNKC’s commitment to design excellence.
Every day, Elie is leading projects by communicating with clients, collaborating with consultants, working with BNKC architects and designers. His attention to detail and deep empathy for the end user means both the design process and product are infused with craft and care. Elie works tirelessly to mentor our team members and help them develop their skill sets. He takes an active role in the day-to-day operations of the firm and is continuously evolving BNKC’s methodologies and capabilities to grow the practice’s progressive strategic vision.
