The 1911-1921 Eglinton Avenue East Master Plan aims to redevelop a significant 9-acre site in Toronto into a dynamic mixed-use community. This transformative project integrates residential, commercial, and public spaces, setting a new benchmark for sustainable urban development within the Golden Mile area. Designed by BNKC Architects Inc., the project prioritizes creating a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly environment that enhances urban connectivity and livability. Inspired by contemporary urbanism and community feedback, the design strategically integrates high-rise and mid-rise buildings to frame vibrant public spaces and activate street edges. Green infrastructure, active transportation networks, and inclusive public realm amenities are central to the design, fostering social interaction and community engagement.
BNKC Architects provided comprehensive urban design and architectural services throughout the project lifecycle, including initial conceptual design, detailed architectural planning, and ongoing coordination with stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Municipal approvals will include Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-Law Amendments, and the Draft Plan of Subdivision, ensuring alignment with local planning frameworks and community needs.
