Counting Down to Clockwork’s Grand Debut |
|
Tick-tock, tick-tock! Can you hear it? That’s the sound of excitement building as Clockwork Condominiums gears up for occupancy. Building 1 and the underground parking garage are sprinting towards completion, aiming for a grand reveal by November 2024. We’ve got floors framed and boarded, finishes waiting to dazzle, and the upper levels are reaching for the sky. |
|
Plus, let’s not forget Mattamy’s epic topping-off celebration – over 100 workers and 175 hungry souls breaking bread together. Now that’s what we call teamwork! This Instagram Reel captures our fun tour!

A Bonsai Pavilion in High Park: A Student’s Dream |
|
Picture this: bonsai trees, a serene pond, and architectural dreams taking flight. Our collaboration with U of T Architecture students turned a theoretical client scenario into reality (conceptually, at least) with a bonsai pavilion design for High Park. Vaughn Miller (BNKC) and Jennifer Davis (WZMH) led the charge, hosting crits, and unveiling a bouquet of brilliant designs.

“Thanks to instructor, Jennifer Davis, for the opportunity to participate in ARC112 Design + Engineering. Working with such talented and enthusiastic students was a very rewarding experience!” – Vaughn Miller, Principal

Archiving Adventures
Preserving Memories, Building Legacies |
|
For decades, BNKC has stored rolls of drawings from historic projects like College Park, the Richmond Hill Civic Centre, Toronto City Hall Library, and many others. Founder Joe Bogdan pledged original drawings to the Toronto Archives, so BNKC volunteers, alongside Joe and his daughters, sorted through memories in a whirlwind day, deciding which drawings to archive, keep, or discard. It was a poignant journey, filled with nostalgia and the joy of preserving history.

Building Dreams at The Working Centre |

Demo days are here again! We’ve swung the wrecking ball at 97 Victoria, with our hearts set on creating a space that cares for those who need it most. And guess what? We’re not just building structures; we’re building hope. Kudos to all involved, including our amazing clients and all the consultants who’ve generously donated their expertise to this worthy cause.

Mentoring Minds at TSA Portfolio Day |
|
Lights, camera, portfolio! Vaughn Miller (L) stepped into the spotlight at Toronto Society of Architects‘ Portfolio Day, championing professional development and inclusivity in the architecture industry. It’s not just about blueprints; it’s about nurturing the next generation of architectural superstars (like our Summer Intern Leyla, in photo two). Here’s to guiding, inspiring, and shaping futures, one portfolio at a time.
