Business innovation consultants, Innovia, interviewed Jonathan King for their recent series on issues of importance to the AEC industry. He shared his insights about cost considerations, the biggest barriers, and if biophilia is merely a buzzy wellness trend. “Even within mass timber, there are many more solutions that have yet to be explored. One of the things I keep pushing up against is the institutional demand for mass timber. Right now, every university, every college wants a mass timber building. We’re actually not going to see the real supply chain benefits until mass timber also finds its way into commercial and residential markets.”
