Leyla Godfrey is a Summer Intern at BNKC and a Master of Architecture student at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2019. Leyla’s photography achievements include being featured in the 2019 Contact Photography Exhibition, winning the 2019 Flash Forward Emerging Photographer Award, and receiving an Honourable Mention for the 2020 Burtynsky Grant. She began her career in film and fashion photography before transitioning to architecture in 2022. At BNKC, Leyla assists architects and designers on various projects and helps update the firm’s online presence. She enjoys the friendly, collaborative environment and the variety of projects. Outside of work, Leyla loves biking around the city, bike-packing to camping destinations, and climbing, both indoors and outdoors. Easy-going, positive, and energetic, Leyla brings a fresh perspective to the BNKC team.
